The incidence of the struggle of black people, their sufferings and the hardships faced by African Americans to achieve basic rights such as equality and indiscrimination is often highlighted in news.

The month of February is chosen for the acknowledgement of black figures before us and now for their contributions and sacrifices. It speaks about the many lessons brought to our society and how black figures like Martin L King Jr and Malcom X paved the way for the youth today to continue to fight for equal rights.

It is dedicated to honoring all the remarkable moments by the Black Community in the history of The African diaspora. The Black History Month begins on 1st February and ends on 1st March here in the United States.

Black History Month is of great importance and has a very special place for Black Community all over the world. It allows people the opportunity to acknowledge all the differences and contributions made and the reform brought by the Black community across the globe.

It goes far beyond the stories of racism and slavery that are faced by the Black Community and it brings the spotlight on the achievements of the Black Community.

It would be difficult to count on fingers the number of African American people that have given so much to society. These people not only grew as an individual but they also developed their community and other communities to from Robert L. Johnson, Nelson Mandela, Victor J. Glover and the list continues. Here we would talk about one more such influential person Kodak Black an American rapper who continues his Philanthropic work and making lives better.

About Kodak Black:

Bill Kohan Kapri is a 23-year-old, American rapper popularly known by his stage name Kodak Black. Kodak Black gained fame in 2014 from his first single “No Flockin”. His career as an American rapper is very successful and impressive.

He gained name-n-fame from his albums such as “Painting Pictures” which was at the top 3rd position on Billboard 200 list. His other single “Tunnel Vision” was among the top 10 in the Billboard Hot 100 list.

In his life has always tried serving the community for the betterment in one form or the other. He has been a social server and loves to do so. While he was incarcerated he gave dollar 50,000 to the small business owners in Florida who were severely affected due to COVID-199.

He was granted clemency by Donald Trump former of Unites States, on his last full serving day on the job. It was Black's philanthropic activities that routed his way to release. Kodak black is acknowledged by White House officials for his philanthropic work. They once said that “Black is not just a prominent artist but also a community leader”.

Black has continued and is growing consistently his contribution towards the growth and betterment of needy people. He is determined to serve the underprivileged, families of government officials, families in distraught, and students with resources as well as funds for education.

Two FBI agents while serving their duty in Sunrise, Florida were shot to death. Kodak Black pledged to take care of their children’s educational expenses.

His recent visit:

He recently visited Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for an event that marked the day of the 3rd anniversary of the Parkland should mass shooting that took place in 2018.

During the event, Kodak Black announced a scholarship of 100,000 dollars for students pursuing the Criminal Justice and Prison Reform course at the South Eastern University Law School.

The students pursuing a career in criminal justice and Prison Reform are eligible to apply for the scholarship. He made this contribution in honor of Meadow Pollack a 17-year-old girl.

Meadow Pollack was one of the victims of the Parkland mass shooting in 2018. The scholarship is named “Meadow Pollack scholarship”. He said that his core motive behind announcing the scholarship was to bring some positive change in society that would make a difference.

Black continues to serve the community in various forms like managing education expenses for the less fortunate students, arranging Notebooks for the students, announcing scholarships, helping the families of government officials.

Making a notable change in society:

He is determined in enhancing the lives of people and making a notable change in society. He believes to help people in whichever form he can. He believes that it could be either giving your time or your money and you can help people.

He after his sentence commuted by the former President of the US has specially dedicated his life to the up-liftment of people and contributing to society.

There's is no denial that he has worked tremendously well to recompense for his mistakes through developing the whole community. Some individuals never recover from their omissions, whatever Black has done towards uplifting of unfortunates has been remarkable and is gratification towards Black History Month.

There have been many leaders who have done remarkable achievements just like Kodak Black and it is truly inspiring to the youth. Hence, Black History month is all about acknowledging the contributions of the Black Community.
